ive heard that the large apples, potatoes etc that you buy in the supermarket are mostly devoid of nutrients.. because the ground they grew on was poor and overused… as opposed to an organic farm where the ground has alot of nutrients.

  1. what makes a farm “organic”..from where came the nutrients?
    according to the US department of agriculture, in a report issued back in the ’30’s, the farmland was virtually devoid of
    minerals. USSR in the ’50’s would not accept wheat grown in US because of the low protein content.

    farmland needs to lie fallow with overcrop plowed under several years to rebuild. farmland that is never flooded will not totally rebuild netrients..so what makes the farm “organic?”

  2. This is true. Chemical fertilizers will grow plants on worn out soil but are they healthy?
