One Response to How is aquaculture helping natural fish stocks?
Aquaculture is put simply intensive fish farming, it doesn’t really help natural fish stocks as it really only allows an individual or a company to make a more profitable business. It really has no impact on the natural fish stocks. Natural fish stocks are still ‘hunted’ for by amateur anglers, professional fishermen and trawlers. Long line boats bait hooks on a line with float to keep it on the surface, the hooks are about 20 feet apart and up to 10 miles in length. Anything caught is dead when brought on board the boat and nothing is sent over the side, it happens almost everywhere.
