Question by jimauk: Honey extractor plans required for beekeeping?
Plans if you have built one your self or are into beekeeping, I am not after just random searcing on the net!!! I can do that myself.

  1. You just need to build a simple centrifuge. That is to spin the combs at a speed that causes them to release the honey onto the inside of the drum in which they are spinning. You can use an electric drill with speed control to do the spinning and just need to build a frame to hold the comb to enable a stable set-up.

  2. My extractor is one of the few things that I have bought. I paid about £220 last year and it was worth every penny. It is a manual model which takes four frames. It came from Maisemore apiaries http://www.bees-online.co.uk/
    I have six colonies so thats nearly 200 frames. Thats a lot of work for a piece of home-made equipment. You can often find a fellow bee-keeper to share the costs of a new one..
