Do a Google search for “vermicomposting” and you will find lots of free information on this.
Be sure that “Worm Digest” is one of you stops.

I sold worms and nightcrawlers as a kid. I collected them at night after rain storms and kept them in the garage in the body of an old fridge. It was normal for me to have 200-300 at one time. I sold them for 75 cents/ doz.
Just keep the dirt moist (not wet) and put in SMALL amounts of organic scraps(lettuce, apple skins, rice, coffee grounds etc…) every couple days.
P.S. Shreaded newspaper works well too.

any tub will work. Use garden soil, mix oats into soil for worm food. Add worms you “catch’ from the yard (early morning is the best time, or dig up some. Keep the dirt moist, but not soggy..they will drown if you add too much water. Worms do very well on Oats (Quaker oats that you make oatmeal from). Be careful about adding garbage, for the bed will start to stink in no time flat, and will attract flies. Good luck
