I’ve bought chicks there for years. However, if you only want 2 then you will need to buy them locally or make an order together with someone else. The minimum order for chicks is generally 20 or 25 since they lose heat quickly during shipping. You would not be able to order just 2 from any website, so I would look for a local provider that already has them.
Assuming you want eggs, only two probably won’t be enough since they won’t be laying every day. I would get a few more at least. As for breeds there are a multitude out there, generally just look at the layers section of order booklets or sites. I have always had good luck with Silver Laced Wyandottes although be sure that your hen is getting enough laying mash as they will quit laying otherwise until they have a proper diet again.

Tony is right, you can not ship less than 20 or 25 chicks, or they will die in shipment due to being too cold. Check with your local feed provider; hybrid egg layers produce the most eggs, sex link chickens, cherry eggers, or leghorn cross. Do you want white or brown eggs? Take that into consideration when you choose a breed.
