  4. Environmental Stewardship, by producing something so locally, that its in your own backyard.
Viable business. A single, standard hive can produce up to approx 80 lbs of honey annually.
Pollinate local vegetation, particularly any fruit or nut, or vegetable bearing plants!
Makes your fruit and veggie yields bigger and healthier, from pollination.
Helping with international honeybee crisis by adding one more environment for local bees to colonize, and encouraging further research into the crisis, by supporting the business of it, simply by purchasing a single colony of bees, and a hive.
    Hope this helps!

One new hive with bees and basic equipment costs about $ 150. Hive parts are cut to standard dimensions that mimic the space bees naturally leave between their combs. Always reproduce these dimensions exactly if you make your own bee hives. You will need the following equipment.
