THE GOVERNMENT OUTLAWED MY BACKYARD CHICKENS!

www.goingorganic.weebly.com What’s up America? Are you old enough to remember backyard chickens and fresh eggs? Can you remember having a compost pile in the backyard that the chickens pecked through and kept the bug population in the yard under control? Do you remember all that rich chicken manure and that you never needed to buy any chemical fertilizers from the store? Kids today think that eggs come from the store. Chickens look like strange exotic animals to young children. Very few children ever get to chase a chicken around the coop or cuddle one in their arms. They never get to go to the nest and pick up the eggs for the kitchen. America is in a crisis! We are losing our top soil because of chemical fertilizers killing all the living worms and microbes in the soil. We are losing our heirloom tomatoes that were so red and juicy. They were sacrificed for some hybrid that was bred to be firm enough to ship across country. I called the county government to find out if I could have a backyard chickens. I wanted to start growing my own organic tomatoes. The ones that taste so rich and juicy. The more I learned about growing organic, the more I realized that 3 or 4 chickens would turn the whole yard into a fertile wonderland. I could even put the compost in their coop and they would peck and scratch and poop it into perfect fertile soil. I just wanted hens, so that there would be no roosters crowing. Hens have the quiet clucking sound that should be on those sound

  7. How on Earth would you go about educating something such as the Magic Mulatto TelePrompTer Reader?

If we do not take our Nation back, then what kind of a Future are we leaving to our Children?

  10. @fenceguy80 I hear you. But not every neighbor wants free eggs. I don’t know why, but there is always that one neighbor. So it comes back around to changing the laws. People need to become aware that having chickens is just a natural part of life and part of living organically.

  11. Y’all aren’t very smart! Free eggs to the neighbors make for good hush money. When dealing with the goverment it is most time better to ask forgiveness than permission.

  14. @GoingOrganic1 Thanks again. I’m considering challenging the law, or just circumventing it. Also search for the article “Backyardchickens supports criminal behavior” (YT won’t allow posting link).

  15. @paulo1149 Thanks for your comment. I got the music off of youtube. I tried to find the name of it, but I couldn’t find it. Also, I think that even if you live in the city with a yard, you should be able to have chickens. As long as they are given good care. Chickens are very adaptable. There is a lot of urban farming going on. A lot of communities have modified their ordinances toward more self sustainability. It is time for the rest of the country to catch up.

  16. Right on, brother. I just called my town, and a ten acre minimum is required for even one chicken. After that, you can have a million chickens. A very poor law. It should be, say, four chickens on one acre. Thinking about doing it anyway…

BTW, what is that very nice music?

    Be blessed.

  19. @kingofthebrittains Thanks for your comment. Obviously, that is what my neighbors are doing. I think that it is time to hold the government accountable. Ordinances need to be updated to allow citizens to live more sustainably and organically. Many communities have already made these changes. But it needs to spread all across the country, to keep us strong and resilient. There needs to be more education to improve our soil and compost many things that are now filling our landfills.

  20. @GoingOrganic1 Power is Given not assumed. The guv only has the power you grant them over you. Stop asking & start doing. If everyone who wanted to raise chickens, grow hemp, harvest water, compost, etc, just bloody got on with it, there would be no way to stop it. So do as you will, you are a free person on this planet, owing allegiance to no contrived paper entity. You have the Planetary Right, like every living thing on Earth, to produce your own food and goods.

  22. @WHITECOYOTE6 I hear what you’re saying. When I worked in the corporate world they said, “It is easier to ask forgiveness than to ask permission.” I was genuinely surprised when the county said, “No chickens.”, because most people in my neighborhood think they live in the country. We are pretty rural. It got me stirred up enough to make the video. I know that there is an important movement toward self sufficiency in the country. I just don’t think that my county has caught up yet.

  23. I know the problem you face and so many face the same thing. You see i figured this all out from a very young age and continue to do it today and it work’s.I do what I want when I want as long as it is not harmful to other’s or their property…I quit asking for permission to do what has alway’s been my right to do.The rule’s do not apply.and people should simply just ignore those that cause no harm to other’s or their property the new American way .take back what belong’s to us ..QUIT ASKING …

  24. @RadMadMike Thanks for your comment. I think especially everyone needs to educate their local government on the public safety issues in encouraging citizens to live sustainably. We need that local support system of sustainability to help survive the local recessions or emergencies that occur. Sometimes government solves problems by taking a position that is just the opposite extreme, instead of thinking through a logical reasonable solution for all their citizens.
