Besides selling the land to a developer (which is not an option in my case). What business would you engage in to that would turn a profit year after year? Would you raise cattle or some other live stock? What type of business would you create to make it profitable? A storage facility? Raise bees? Paintball course?

So long as it is legal I am open to all suggestions. Thank You.

  2. Contact someone involved in the placement of cellular towers and wireless equipment. They make great tenants and can spit off a lot of cash to the land owner. It’s unlikely they will jump immediately at placing a tower there, but you might have some luck. http://www.steelintheair.com seems to have some resources along this line.

If you have the cash a storage facility is a great option. Once they fill up they are gold mines. It is however a very competitive industry and you’ll need to understand local demand very astutely before you build. This would also still allow future wireless development in the future.
