Question by jackweed: What Does It Feel Like To Be Bitten By A Tarantula?
Just curious. I know they’re not venomous but still. Also, would anyone who owns one tell me what it is like raising such an interesting pet?

Here is a video me and my daugther shot after my husband was bitten by one of our tarantulas. This species has some nasty venom and he was in quite a bit of pain. See for yourself:

They are very interesting pets – we enjoy watching them and learning more about them. We’ve been keeping and breeding them for years but there’s still so much to learn. They are fascinating and surprisingly, they each have their own little attitudes. LOL

They ARE venomous, actually – all spiders are – they’re just not dangerously venomous to humans. A tarantula bite feels very much like a bee sting, except you get two little puncture wounds instead of one (from the two fangs, you see).
