Students and faculty at Robert College in Istanbul Turkey assemble in front of their main hall to draw attention to 350 as part of the October 24 International Day of Climate Action.

This was one of over 5,200 events happening around the world as part of the 350.org International Day of Climate Action on October 24, 2009. More information at 350.org.

message from organizer:

"The building on the background is the main hall of our school. You suggest in 350.org to capture a local landmark in the photo too, yet our school is well-known in Turkey and if people don’t recognize the building, they would recognize the name Robert College. Most of the students and the teachers are in the photo. I am sophomore in that school and I saw that the presentations we made and the posters we put around the school raised the awareness about the climate change and the importance of number 350 a lot both amongst the teachers and the students. I also hope that those photos that came and continue to come from around the world will raise the awareness of the politicians and the chances of a more effective climate treaty.

Question by Pasniffykiteoaige: Why are my turkeys bald on their chests?
Okay, I am a 4-H member and am raising turkeys for market. I was wondering why there are no feathers on their undersides. Is it normal, or is it because the pen is to wet? Does this happen to anyone else? Thanks.
