  6. Hi, Edwin.

  8. Hi, Syazwan. We will try to speak in english in our next videos. 🙂 The
fish that we have at the farm are just secondary products. The first would
be the vegetables. Here in the Philippines, when they culture tilapia, they
give A LOT of antibiotics and synthetic feeds to be able to harvest tilapia
in 2 to 3 months. At the Eco Backyard Farm, we grow and culture everything
the natural way. For a tilapia to grow really big, it takes (naturally) 9
    months.

  9. I agree with the synthetic feed, however, is there any side effects by
giving synthetic feed? I also culture tilapia here in Brunei, with
aquaponics. What are you feeding your tilapia with? duckweed? and are you
growing your vegetables in aquaponics system? 🙂

  10. good video, but if you can speak english will be better. I do understand
some tagalog, since its nearly the same as Malay. but majority of the
things you said I wasn’t able to understand. Just wondering, how long did
it take for the tilapia to grow to that size?

  11. We feed our tilapia corn mill, duckweed (but snails destroyed our duckweed)
and sometimes bugs and critters we see roaming around our farm. When we
take care of tilapia, what we feed them, we eventually eat ourselves.
Synthetic stuff has never been good to our health. Actually, these things
now-a-days are the root cause of a lot of cancers. Watch episode 4
“watering the plants: 1,2 & 3” – you’ll see in this video the french beans
we planted in our aquaponics system.
