  3. Getting ready to relocate to the Pacific NorthWest, and I’m going to take
up #beekeeping For two main reasons:

    1. Bees pollinate so much of our food, the more bees the better.
    2. I’m going to make sooooo much mead.

Any beekeepers here on the G+ with pointers? I’m planning on getting in
contact with local beekeepers once I get settled into my new home to get
    the hang of things.

  4. These last few weeks have been consumed with +Best Away Game Ever, which
has been a tremendous blessing. However, I want to return to my roots with
this post on #beekeeping . I’ve been beekeeping for the last 8 years with
my father–but more details about that later.

As a Southerner, I have never considered myself an ‘urban beekeeper’, but
I met a few of them in #NYC and immediately had a friend crush on them. +The
Carolina Bee Company, have you seen this? Has anyone had experience with
urban beekeeping they’d like to share?

  13. I keep bees in my suburban neighborhood and I already have 3 hives! I used
to hate honey but after I was extracting 50 pounds of it I learned to love
    it 😉

  18. 6:15 Jessica ” Rather than one person having 200,000 hives, 200,000 people
should have one hive. ” That wisdom needs to be applied to our too big to
fail conventional corporate farms that are destroying our soil and
    poisoning our land and water.

  19. It means that bees are responsible for pollinating most of the foods that
we eat from fruits and vegetables to the feed that we give our livestock.

  22. Honey from wildflowers tastes way better than plain clover honey. Honey can
be stored indefinitely. Way to go, legalize backyard bee keeping. Save our
    bees.

  23. Honey is so expensive and I love it in my tea and coffee. I just want to
get me hive of those fuzzy cuties and get my own honey. They would also be
an awesome addition to help with the garden and possible fruit trees.
