Mr. Salatin, I have just finished watching Food and I must tell you that
you words have filled me with hope in a better world. You have certainly
showed that another United States exists; that there are good people who
just want to live comfortable without causing any damage either to people
or the economy. Let me te …ll you that your thoughts and lifestyle are
similiar to our country people, on the Pampas Argentinas, especially in
Entre Rios.

Many food manufacturers try to entice you with labels saying “low fat,”
“fat-free,” or “reduced fat.” However, calories come from not just from
fat, but from carbohydrates as well. Although these products contain less
fat, the amount of carbohydrates is usually increased, resulting in
approximately the same number of calories – and ultimately the same weight
gain. Also any gastric bypass surgery is risky, think of 0% surgical risk,
a mindset of ‘gastric bypass w/o surgery’ safe & pain-free.
I was really inspired by Joel’s approach to sustainable farming in Food,
Inc. movie. I admire his transparency in his farming approach and his
encouragement to consumers to think twice about what they buy and eat. my
girlfriend and i are making a better effort to eat local, organic and
healthy!
