The Only Seven Animals of the World?

Question by Sentorin: The Only Seven Animals of the World?
If there were to be only seven animals left in the world, and it was during the medieval ages with no technology whatsoever, which would be the ideal animals? By looking at all aspects (warfare, economically, etc.) which animals existing in our world would be a fit choice?
EDIT-Some people have listed farm animals, but I say aside from the fact that people would want animal byproducts. So assuming the world was vegan, please answer my question!

  1. horse, sheep, cow/ox, dog, cat, chicken, elephant

although dogs and cats would be pretty much useless if no predators or game are present (wolf/deer/rabbit for the dog, mouse/rat for the cat), replace dog & cat with pig & fish

LOL why thumbs down ? i hurt someone’s feelings ?

  5. If the world is vegan than the 7 best animals would be:

    1) Humans – otherwise this is a pointless question
    2) Bees – as with out bees polination is difficult if not impossible which would take away some very significant human food sources.
    3) Oxen – Used for assistance in raising crops and also as a mode of Transporation
4-7) Bacteria – Which fall under the Animal kingdom and without which all sorts of things can’t survice (including humans). Actually you need more than three types of bacteria to survive let alone having the bees and oxen survice and the Plants grow. so this is a silly question.

But throwing even more reality the wind.

    1-3) stay the same
    4) Elephants – It is hard to ride an ox into battle.
    5) Spiders – to keep the bees in check
    6) Dung beatles to keep the out put from the Horses and Oxen in check (not to mention those pesky humans).
    7) Fish – to keep the water clean.
