  1. Does it protect itself well when strom is coming?

  2. Questions are good! It’s a great hobby …. just dive right in. The stepper motor does not discharge the battery. It has two phase AC (four wires, two pairs) output that goes to two full wave rectifiers. The rectifiers make the current DC so batteries can be charge …. as well they prevent power from flowing backwards kind of like a one way valve.

  3. Sorry for asking question on old videos. I’m new to the wind power idea. When the stepper is at rest does it try to discharge the batteries?

  4. Oh I’m perfectly relaxed. No not having a bad day. I just didn’t care for the way you came across. Perhaps you didn’t intend to come across harsh and if you say you didn’t, ok.

  5. You need to relax pal… I’m friends with this guy and since apologized for if I came across more brash than called for. And goof isn’t that bad of a word…

And by the way, who made you the authority over me? To many people worried about who said what and when instead of whether or not it was an accurate statment… What compelled you to even comment on my comment? are you having a bad day or something?

  6. Well you come across as a jerk calling people goofs. Who made you the authority? Gain knowledge only when it’s asked for. I don’t see anyone asking for your opinion on here.

  7. Did you try looking on my channel?

And regardless, I’m right! So what’s your point in asking if I’m talk or not? This guy is doing his own experiments and that’s awesome. I was just dimply being informative for those that care to gain knowledge. And yes it’s from experience but it’s also Simple Science.

  9. Almost 1 amp and unfortunatly no DXF file … it was made from scrap metal in the shop. Thanks for the comment

  10. Hi,
what Amperage are you seeing from the Nema?
Also do you have any DXF files for the turbine?

  11. YOu should quite wasting time with these small toys and build something that will put out power. If you take the appropriate steps and listen to the those with the knowledge (not neccessarily anyone in particular) and continue the research, you could build a powerful Machine. You should take advantage of the skills and tools tha tyou have to build something worth while!

  12. I don’t think that it would take anymore time than listening to some of the goofs on this site, encouraging you to waste your time with this belt setup. Then after all of the testing and hope fasding, realizing that you need to change to something more reasonable!? lol- That was partially a joke!

I like your enthusiasm on this project! You have Quality Craftsmanship and would be great for a Servo Motor Turbine that would be capable of producing and easy 500-1000w in a class 2/3 Area!

  13. No doubt … if fact none of these projects are not a needed for that matter. As for the gears I would probably want to find something with an appropriate ratio and build it in rather than attempt making my own. Now that would be a lot of time!

  14. Defintiely. Seems like an aweful lot of work for a cellphone or small battery when you can purchase cheap solar chargers.. No?

Looking forward to the Flying Video. Anyway that you could use a geared System to dramatically lower the friction? this might work better. Belts need to be tightened so greatly to hold to the pulley while spinning a genny that it causes to much friction. A geared pully setup would ensure proper torque and allow for less friction if the Gears are the correct kind!

  15. some of these smaller turbines i made never intending to charge a larger deep cycle or battery bank for that matter. my thinking was more along the lines of cell phones, AA’s and small electronics some of which I have tested. At some point I will have to upload some of those tests .. one project at a time ya know.

  17. I don’t think that Many people understand that Amps is a MAJOR Part of Performance and if a Genny doesn’t put out enough Amps to Push the Voltage, it won’t be anything more than Yard Art!

No offense but 1amp is Honestly Useless!!!? That won’t even trickle charge a battery… Not even keeping a UNused Battery bank charged…

Look into something that pushes a good 12amps or uch higher!
